DIGITAL OVERVIEW

Where the fun begins.

These carefully chosen digital images from my repertoire, display the diversity of my work. They are created from my original photography or photos of my original art. The beauty of digitization is that the imagery is often available in different colour-ways, as in Image - 4841 & 4843 and the image above.

BLACK, RED & WHITE...at least mostly

This gallery is created from photos of my original art. The first five images are from two drawings that I cut into strips and wove together. The others are from whimsical paintings on paper. Several of these original pieces are still available. Email me for more information.

PSYCHEDELIC MADNESS

The first image is an untouched photo of a prism reflecting onto Image - 2400. The rest are "retro" images, reminiscent of the 1960's and 1970's. Black lights won't make them glow fluorescent, but they are still very groovy!

DIGITAL CANNABIS

These digital manipulations from original photographs are a whole new take on the cannabis experience, that also make interesting art pieces from a beautiful plant.

My brother is a gardener who specializes in cannabis. He feeds his plants a special ingredient that turns the leaves purple as they mature. Next season I will visit him just before harvest to get even more colourful photos.

WATER ENERGY

Ocean waves and tidal foam hold a kind of magic, they seem to give us a sense of peace and calm. Here are a few of my favourites from my travels.

FRANKIE'S FAVOURITES

I have many favourite photo, and digital images, but these just didn't find homes anywhere else in the website. Most were taken while traveling overseas. Many of the images on the website could have motivational captions added to them. Choose your favourite image and have a caption or phrase added to it. They may also lend themselves to purposes other than wall art. Email me with your ideas.

ABOUT FRANKIE

Each medium I work in utilizes a different skill and draws from emotions within me.

My work in all mediums; chalk pastel, acrylic, mixed media, photography, digital manipulation, takes me out of time and space. When I think I’m finished, I contemplate each piece by rotating it, making sure I like it enough, to let it be enjoyed by others.

For me, the skill in being a good abstract artist comes from my eye and my intuition. By honouring that, the piece tells me when it’s time to stop; that its story has been told and it’s time to release it.

My photos capture unchangeable moments in time, and usually something that no one else has noticed. The rest of my work expresses freedom, with the potential for each piece to have a unique interpretation just for you. You chose the direction to hang it in, or you can change the directions often (example below), this is why I sign the back.
